Although it’s not as romantic as their interaction on the Titanic, the moment shows their deepening friendship. Another sign of their friendship that comes with a hint of romance is Fry’s response to Leela’s involvement with Alcazar. Fry reacts with apparent jealousy at first, but on reflection, realizes that he just wants Leela to be happy.
